Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Music Visualizer (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Music Visualizer macOS application or visit our website at https://sibi55.wordpress.com/.

We believe privacy should be straightforward. Music Visualizer is designed primarily as a local, on-device application, and we aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information Processed by Music Visualizer

System Audio

Music Visualizer uses Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit framework to access system audio playing on your Mac so that the App can generate real-time, audio-reactive visual effects.

System audio is analyzed locally on your Mac for purposes such as detecting:

  • audio intensity and loudness;
  • bass, midrange, and treble frequencies;
  • transients and rhythmic changes;
  • other audio characteristics used to animate visual effects.

Music Visualizer does not require this audio to be uploaded to our servers for the visualizer to operate.

We do not use system audio for advertising, user profiling, or tracking.

Screen and System Audio Recording Permission

macOS may ask you to grant Music Visualizer permission to access Screen & System Audio Recording.

This permission is required so the App can access the system-audio stream needed to create synchronized visualizations.

You can revoke this permission at any time through:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording

Revoking this permission may prevent audio-reactive visualization features from functioning.

2. Personal Information Collected by the App

Music Visualizer currently does not require you to create an account.

The App does not intentionally collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your physical address;
  • your precise location;
  • your contacts;
  • payment information;
  • advertising identifiers;
  • browsing history;
  • search history;
  • passwords or account credentials.

Music Visualizer does not use third-party advertising networks and does not sell personal information.

3. Analytics and Tracking

Music Visualizer currently does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking technologies.

We do not use information from Music Visualizer to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

If analytics, crash-reporting services, or other third-party data services are added to the App in the future, this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before those practices are introduced where required.

4. Files You Create or Export

Music Visualizer may allow you to create, render, save, or export visual content.

Files that you choose to save are stored in locations that you select on your Mac.

We do not automatically upload exported files to our servers.

You are responsible for the files you create, save, or share using Music Visualizer.

5. Information Collected Through Our Website

Our website is currently hosted using WordPress.com.

When you visit the website, the website hosting provider may automatically process technical information associated with normal website operation, which may include:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device information;
  • approximate geographic region;
  • referring website;
  • pages visited;
  • date and time of access;
  • cookies or similar technologies.

This information may be processed by WordPress.com or its service providers for purposes such as hosting, security, spam prevention, site operation, performance, and aggregated website statistics.

The website may also use cookies or similar technologies provided by the hosting platform.

You can control or remove cookies through your browser settings.

Beta Testing Signup

Our website includes a form that allows visitors to register their interest in participating in the Music Visualizer beta program.

When you submit this form, we collect the email address you voluntarily provide.

We use this email address only to:

  • contact you about Music Visualizer beta testing;
  • send TestFlight invitations or beta-related instructions;
  • communicate important beta updates; and
  • request feedback about the beta.

Submitting the beta signup form does not create a Music Visualizer account.

We do not sell beta signup email addresses or use them for third-party advertising.

You may withdraw from the beta program or request deletion of your submitted email address at any time by contacting brunosanimeblog@gmail.com.

6. Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you contact us by email, submit feedback, or otherwise communicate with us, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, such as:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • the contents of your message;
  • screenshots or diagnostic information you choose to send;
  • information about your Mac or macOS version if you include it in a support request.

We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, investigate bugs, improve Music Visualizer, or communicate with you regarding your inquiry.

Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your support request.

Beta signup information, such as your name and your email address, when you voluntarily register to participate in the beta program.

7. TestFlight Beta Testing

If you participate in a Music Visualizer beta through Apple TestFlight, Apple may provide us with certain testing information, feedback, or diagnostic information according to Apple’s TestFlight services and privacy practices.

This may include information you voluntarily submit through TestFlight, such as:

  • written beta feedback;
  • screenshots attached to feedback;
  • crash or diagnostic information made available through TestFlight;
  • device and operating-system information associated with beta testing.

We use this information only to test, debug, improve, and support Music Visualizer.

Apple’s handling of information through TestFlight is also governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.

Information may be processed by service providers only where necessary to operate services used in connection with Music Visualizer or the website, such as:

  • Apple, for App Store and TestFlight distribution;
  • WordPress.com and its associated service providers, for website hosting and operation.

Where we rely on third-party providers, their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy practices and applicable laws.

We may also disclose information if legally required to do so, such as in response to a valid legal process or governmental request.

9. Data Retention

Because Music Visualizer primarily processes audio locally on your Mac, we do not maintain a server-side archive of the system audio used to generate visualizations.

Information that you voluntarily provide through email or support requests may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to your request;
  • investigate technical problems;
  • maintain support records;
  • meet legal obligations.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted.

Third-party services such as Apple and WordPress.com may maintain information according to their own retention policies.

Beta signup email addresses may be retained while the beta program is active and for a reasonable period afterward for testing and support purposes. You may request deletion of your beta signup email address at any time.

10. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests

Because Music Visualizer does not currently require user accounts or maintain a central database of App users, there may be no App account or associated personal-data record for us to delete.

If you have contacted us directly and would like us to delete personal information you previously provided, you may contact us at:

brunosanimeblog@gmail.com

Please describe the information or communication you would like deleted.

We may need to retain limited information where required by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

You can revoke Music Visualizer’s system-audio permission at any time through macOS System Settings.

You can also uninstall Music Visualizer to remove the App and its locally stored application data from your Mac, subject to normal macOS behavior and any files you independently chose to save elsewhere.

Beta signup information may be retained while the beta program is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, testing records, and communication purposes. You may request deletion of your beta signup information at any time.

11. Children’s Privacy

Music Visualizer is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly use the App to collect personal information from children for advertising, profiling, or tracking purposes.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete that information.

12. Security

We take reasonable measures to limit unnecessary collection and access to information.

One of Music Visualizer’s primary privacy protections is its local-processing design: system audio used to generate real-time visualizations is intended to remain on the user’s Mac rather than being transmitted to us.

However, no electronic storage, internet service, or communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. International Users

Music Visualizer and this website may be accessed by users in different countries and regions.

Third-party providers such as Apple and WordPress.com may process information in countries other than the country in which you live, subject to their own privacy practices and applicable legal requirements.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Music Visualizer develops.

For example, we may revise the policy if we introduce:

  • optional analytics;
  • online services;
  • user accounts;
  • cloud synchronization;
  • additional third-party integrations;
  • new data-processing features.

When this policy is materially updated, the Last updated date at the top of this page will be changed.

Where required, our App Store privacy disclosures will also be updated.
