Full disclosure: I’m not a coder.
Sibi Similis is a “vibe coded” AI project that started with a simple question: if AI is good at math, what could it create with fractals, chaos and music?
The early versions were pretty rough, and honestly I didn’t have much hope for it at first. But with better models, better prompting, real research and a lot of trial and error, it slowly became something I think is halfway decent.
At the very least, it’s a proof of concept; taking a random idea and using AI to help turn it into a real application.
I want to keep developing Sibi Similis. It may never be the best music visualizer in the world, but it’ll be mine.

Inspiration
Sibi Similis takes inspiration from fractals, chaos theory, mathematical attractors and classic music visualizers.
One of the main mathematical influences is Barry Martin’s Hopalong attractor, which became the starting point for several of the visual systems in the app.

I also got interested in fractals and chaos theory while reading Douglas Rushkoff’s Cyberia, particularly the sections discussing Benoit Mandelbrot and the early culture surrounding fractal imagery.
None of these ideas are new; I just thought they were cool and wanted to experiment with them in my own way.
From there, I started combining attractor mathematics with particles, colour, movement and audio response to see what I could make.
That became Sibi Similis.
